January, Here We Come!
Jan 02, 2022Happy New Year and let’s begin the adventure!
I wanted to welcome the New Year, 2022 with a positive and joyful mindset. The question I asked myself was, “What do I feel grateful for?” Ask yourself the same question and I can guarantee that you will not be able to write them all on one sheet of paper. Right?
This past year has been a challenge for all of us. Nobody knows exactly what will happen in 2022. As I write this, a new variant is causing numbers to spike again. What I do know for sure is that we are capable of adapting, coping, and thriving with these many changes TOGETHER.
To begin the new year, I thought it would be appropriate for me to pull one of the cards from my Magical Mindshifts card deck. I published this card deck two years ago but still review them regularly to keep my mindset going straight. I hope this card will help you to face some of the unforeseen changes that may come your way.
This morning, I got up early, can you believe 5:30 AM? The reason for this is because I have many traditions that I still follow from my childhood days, while growing up in Kyushu, Japan. I think the reason why I got up so early was because I was motivated and inspired to follow the "To Do" list my mother made for me every year. You can read about my New Year "To Do" list in the article below.
The story I wrote, Embracing Childhood Memories as We Step into the New Year will be published in the North American Post news in their January issue, but I want to give you a head start. Please click here to read this poignant story and learn a valuable lesson on how to unload all the old stuff as we step into the new year.
