Jan 25, 2024
I hope this first email of 2024 finds you safe and healthy and that you've found time to recharge and are ready to embrace the year ahead. There’s something beautiful about bringing one thing to an end and creating space for a new focus or endeavor. I feel the energy of change in my own life as well as in our community. You've been with me throughout the years, and I thank you and appreciate your support. In this coming year, 2024, I want to focus on extracting creative ideas from everyday living and connecting to nature. As told in the Ikigai philosophy ... to find a reason to get up every morning. I want to share with you the incredible magic of painting, drawing, and storytelling that will bring joy, happiness, and calm to our lives. 2024: The Year of the Dragon! Let me share my first picture of 2024 with you. It's a magnificent and powerful dragon, yet he's kind, sweet, and beautiful. In Chinese culture, the Dragon holds a significant place as an auspicious and extraordinary creature, unparalleled in talent and excellence. It symbolizes power, nobility, honor, luck, and success. Consequently, 2024 will bring about opportunities, changes, and challenges. This year might offer a favorable chance if you're seeking a shift in your current life. I love this artwork and am considering making a limited number of prints. Email me and let me know if you are interested in having a print of this beautiful watercolored dragon. Angels for the Animals, 2023. You and community members generously supported our fourteenth-year philanthropy program. I was surprised by the large attendance at our Holiday Pop-Up gift shop held at Aljoya Senior Living on December 2nd. We donated $3,200. to Ginger's Pet Rescue Animal Rescue fund and $1,000. to the Aljoya Employee fund. Thank you again for your kind hearts and generous support. I'm happy some of you are enjoying the 2024 Art Calendars you purchased with my original artwork. All the calendars were sold! Would you like to be removed from my email list? The last thing I want to do is to bother you with things you are not interested in reading or seeing. If you want to be removed from my email list, click the link below: Have a wonderful February, and I look forward to sharing more artwork and stories with you in 2024! Kay Hirai
